Keep your staff healthy
Depuis 2020, le moment où la plupart des employeurs ont dû mettre en place le télétravail de façon massive, les professionnels de la santé, notamment les chiropraticiens, remarquent une recrudescence des maux en lien avec une mauvaise posture de travail.
Back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis in the elbow, wrist, shoulder, neck problems, headaches, sciatic nerve problems … all problems that can be linked to poor office ergonomics!

How to reduce the risk of injury
According to the Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité (CNESST), in 2018, musculoskeletal disorders accounted for 27,3% of open and accepted injury cases. Poor work ergonomics can therefore lead to an occupational injury.
As an employer, there are several solutions available to you to reduce the risks related to office ergonomics.
Here are some options:
- Properly train your employees in the basics of office ergonomics
- Offer an ergonomic analysis of the workstation at home, either in virtual or face-to-face format
- Facilitate telecommuting by providing the right office equipment (e.g., chair adapted to small or large people, footrest, adaptive desk, etc.)
- Reimburse certain expenses related to the design of an ergonomic workspace
