Amendments to the confidentiality policy
MEDIAL undertakes to notify users, by means of the website, of any changes or amendments to this policy. This notification will appear on the home page as a link for 30 days following the date of amendment. The amendment, addition or deletion of a provision of this confidentiality policy shall be clearly marked. By continuing to use or view medial.ca, you agree to abide by the new policy. No confirmation will be requested from users following the amendment, addition or deletion of a provision of the confidentiality policy.
Confidentiality of data
Regarding data collection and processing, you will always be explicitly notified in advance when MEDIAL asks you for personal and confidential information. Your consent will always be requested. MEDIAL undertakes never to disclose information collected on the website to a third party without your consent. To provide you with customized service, MEDIAL may advise you that one of its partners may interest you, in which case you will always be notified in advance. You may always refuse the offer if it does not appear to be relevant.
In the event that MEDIAL conducts a website user analysis to generate statistics, it would compile the collected data in a depersonalized report. From that report it will not be possible, in viewing the report, to associate any data with a particular user or group of users.
All information collected on medial.ca is protected from loss, theft, or unauthorized use, viewing, communication, copying or modification.
All information is stored on servers that have firewall technology. MEDIAL has taken all the necessary means to protect all data. The site is secured with an issued security certificate.
MEDIAL may not be held liable in the event of a failure in security mechanisms resulting in the disclosure of personal and confidential information.
MEDIAL is obliged to disclose personal and confidential information as set out in subsections 7(2), 7(2), 7(3), 7(4) and 7(5) of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (2000, c. 5). Any user-requested deletion or destruction of files is always performed in a secure manner depending on the sensitivity of the information.
Means of communications used
We use your personal contact information to send you messages by email (or any other means of communication) to notify you about website updates or any other information about the fields of activity dealt with by MEDIAL. You may stop receiving these messages at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. As well, you may send an email message to email@example.com to have all your personal information deleted, including your registration information and your account.
